5 Recommendations in Little Rock, AR

Before accepting a new assignment, there are many factors to consider such as the facility setting, pay rate, and updated documentation if needed. This daunting task is handled with the help of your chosen healthcare recruiter at National Staffing Solutions.
As a traveling medical professional, you are presented many opportunities. One of the most interesting to consider is the city that you choose to work in.

Wouldn't you love to spend your days off at a different city park or nature trail every week?
Little Rock is the capital of the Natural State, Arkansas. There are many adventures to be had in Little Rock, but these five are essential to the Arkansas experience.

  1. Climb Pinnacle Mountain
This outdoor getaway is in Little Rock's back yard just a little over a thousand feet. Majority of visitors of Pinnacle Mountain take the West Summit Trail, where you can find a park-like atmosphere at the trailhead. If you're looking for a challenge, the East Summit Trail is said to be the steepest trail in Arkansas.
Instead of sinking into your couch on a Saturday, try picking up a healthy habit while you are on an assignment!

  2. Enjoy Riverfront Park
The Riverfront Park provides 33 acres of urban parkland and is the lifeblood of Little Rock's downtown scene. You can go shop at local vendors and craftsmen, discover a wealth of great live music at the River Market Pavilion and national acts at Little Rock's premiere amphitheater.
The River Market stands as an unofficial cultural center where you'll find cuisine from every part of the globe. Just like the rest of the state, this park is filled with nature trails, history, and entertainment.

  3. Visit a Museum
No matter what you're interested in - Little Rock has a museum for you!
Grab a glimpse of frontier life at The Historic Arkansas Museum.
Your must-see stop on the museum list is the Arkansas Arts Center, where you can find a permanent collection that includes Van Gogh, Jackson Pollock, and Dali.
The best part is that this exhibit is free to view!
Another free tour can be found at the Arkansas State Capitol. Exhibits and rooms of the house take you back to Victorian periods rooms and even use the same salon as politicians.
Everything great in life really is free!

  4. Explore the Old Mill

This historic spot is worth the trip to the other side of the Arkansas River. The Old Mill is a replica of the old-water-powered grist mill and was featured in "Gone With the Wind". It's a beautiful place to spend hours back in time.
You should visit interesting landmarks featured in your favorite films while you're traveling across the nation and start a scrapbook about it!

  5. Cross the Big Dam Bridge

Little Rock boasts the longest pedestrian and bicycle bridge ever built! Though it is impressive by day, the Big Dam Bridge is enchanting at night when it's lit up by lights. There are a total of six bridges in Little Rock. How many can you say you've crossed over?
