We’re seeking a School Psychologist for a Full-Time Contract opportunity working in Racine, WI.

Racine is situated near Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Root River in Racine County.  Lake Michigan provides opportunities for a variety of activities and offers beautiful vistas. Numerous parks and trails are situated along the Root River. The Lighthouse Run, the dragon boat races and a professional volleyball tournament provide entertainment. Excellent fishing opportunities are located at Horlick Dam, Island Park and Lincoln Park. The Root River is popular for fishing, hiking and kayaking. Quarry Lake Park is a popular place for swimming. Formerly a limestone quarry, it had been converted into one of the best outdoor swimming locations in the Midwest.

School Psychologist Details:

  • Anticipated start date: 2019-2020 School Year
  • Anticipated salary range: Commensurate with experience
  • Anticipated schedule: Monday – Friday
  • Grades K-8
  • Ongoing dedicated recruiter support and customer service

School Psychologist Responsibilities:  

  • Attends staff, professional development, and interagency meetings as assigned for the purpose of communicating and conveying information
  • Consults staff and parents regarding behavioral, learning and social issues for the purpose of correlating all available information regarding individual cases
  • Develops evaluations for the purpose of determining Special Education placement and re-evaluation, guidance and consultation
  • Observes students for the purpose of providing consultation services to teachers, parents, and other support staff and providing direct therapeutic interventions
  • Participates in counseling services, both individual and group, as needed for the purpose of ensuring effective programs to assist children who experience physical, mental, social or emotional difficulties

School Psychologist Qualifications:

  • Graduated from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program or have completed an APA accredited internship.
  • Psychology – PhD or PsyD with licensure in good standing for State of practice.
  • 2 or more years of experience in a school setting working with students.
